When you watch movies like The Lake House and Titanic why do you so extremely desire to feel the same feelings shown in films? Why do you long so much to love and feel loved, feel the same closeness with someone really special that would feel like you both are two parts of one whole thing?

I watched The Lake House today and cried my eyes out. Through out the movie you feel the inner beauty of story line that goes so deep inside you. And you really feel it…

How many times we watch romantic movies like this willing to fill the emptiness in our hearts? The real world doesn’t always fulfill our unconquerable desire to love and be loved. In real relationship most times you get not enough positive and romantic emotions especially after years of living together. So, that is when the time is right for making your relationship fresh again and make it grow with a new power of your love.

Make your soul mate feel loved by doing some romantic things that could Romantic tipsmake her or his feelings arise again. Changing a make up, hair style, location of your joint weekends would be just great.

Acting differently is what you have to remember. That’s how you’ll attract your partner’s attention to yourself again and make your relationship bloom.

For those who are still waiting or looking or hoping for finding love… wait, look and hope. There is a reason we so desperately want to have this wonderful feeling in out life. Simply because we were born for this feeling –to love and be loved. Otherwise, we would not need it so much in our life.

For those who have lost their hope… Well, all I can say, everyone has that someone somewhere you meant to be with. Desperation is not the best thing you can present to yourself, hope is. Like in The Lake House – hope dies the last, no – hope never dies, just like love doesn’t.

When I saw the results of the last week’s round on the main page of Love to Lead, I was shocked! Thank God, in a good way I was shocked simply, because I didn’t believe till the end I’m gonna win!

Thank you everyone who voted for me and the article that means so much to me “Is love stronger feeling than hate?”. My answer is YES. Love is the strongest emotion we can ever feel and the most powerful. Thank you all guys who supported this opinion. I’m very happy there are more loving people in the world than hatred ones. Love can overcome all, hate cannot. We proved it! And we won!

The rest is up to time and Toshiba as everyone is waiting new Toshiba Portege R400 to come in March. When I get it, I’m going to make a review of the new laptop that can suit your needs even in Big Bussiness as I found out at ToshibaDirect. I hope so I like lerning about computers and new ways it may improve our lifes. I hope my dreams will become a reality with new Toshiba Portege R400 New ways of person’s creative expression is what I think creative people new right now. I think new laptop Toshiba is a new way of proving it and showing your best abilities.

Also, I’m going to take a look at all the new features Windows Vista has to offer. From what I read on Internet so far, it’s definately has to go with new Toshiba laptop as it was designed specifically for this OS.

Humanity exists for centuries, I guess, faithlessness exists from the same time. The problem of faithlessness is probably is the most painful of many other problems in marriage.
The highest law of marriage in all times was the faith. And although love – marriage was an ideal, love wasn’t the necessary condition for getting married. Despite of passing centuries, conceptions of “faith and faithlessness” have not lost their actuality. Love for modern family is an important base of marriage, often lack of it is the only motive for its ending. Because of this, faithlessness could lead to destruction of the marriage or serious crisis.

Faith is a commitment to a spouse; it is a fastening knot not only for marriage union, but also for any other too. Faithlessness was always shaming and it was equated to treachery.
Unfaithfulness is a consequence of conflicts and it carries many psychological motives in itself. Marriage life often is broken after faithlessness of one of spouses. It happens because of disappointment in family life. But why it happens? When the initial feeling of love goes to feeling of indifference, the partner becomes annoying, you could even hate him. Unfaithfulness could happen to be in good families and not to be in broken families. Unfaithfulness exists in many families, about ¼ of families. What about reasons of this not so pleasant moment of family life – here they are:

1 – New love

As a rule, this reason is usual for marriages where love didn’t exist at all or was not big enough. These marriages are forced, based on traditions, advantages, fear of loneliness or other motives.

2 – Punishment

A number of unfaithfulness based on a desire to revenge for a spouse’s faithlessness to re-establish self-respect.

3 – Unrequited love

Faithlessness could happen in marriages where one gives love and another takes it without any giving. One of spouses suffers from his unrequited love and this feeling makes him go to take love in another partnership when his love is required. Sometimes the unfaithful spouse doesn’t love a partner he is cheating with, but stays with him expressing the sympathy.

4 – Search of new sexual experiments

This type of faithlessness is common for spouses with a significant family life experience, when feelings are not firing with passion. Also it could be forced by movie’s characters, “beautiful life”, as an imitation to sexual freedom.

5 – Feeling in

In this type of faithlessness a person fills in the lack of love relationship, which arises from long living apart, spouse’s illness, or other limitations.

6 – Total family breaking up

In this case, faithlessness is a creation of a new family, because the old one is not perceived as a family.

7 – Liaison happened accidentally

As a rule, this faithlessness happens to be not often, and could be provoked by circumstances (intoxication, an opportunity, partner’s pushiness etc.)

Faithlessness is not only threatens to the integrity of a family and touches spouses’ feelings, but also is accompanied by deep feeling of jealousy that is destructive itself.
This feeling depends on how many times this happened before. Faithlessness hurts more a trustful and devoted person, because it’s not included in his morals.

Repentance or honest explanation of a cheated spouse is very important for many people. But telling 3rd party about the situation could only make it worse.

Deepness of worry about the faithlessness depends more from how much a person loves his partner and from the size of fear to lose him. Here is a question: “To tell or not to tell him/her about faithlessness” becomes timely. Sure, a person that cheated his spouse wants to get rid of his burden. Sometimes his worries are so strong, that he desires to be punished to get rid of this feeling. He wishes to share this burden with a partner but he doesn’t think about wouldn’t it be beyond his powers.

It’s necessary also to foresee the reaction of your partner. He will be deeply wounded, offended by your confession, will feel betrayed and humbled. No one can forget the faithlessness and never reproach. However, seeing the sincere repentance, a loving person can forgive his partner. Many families, survived after such situation, became closer to each other, because of understanding how much they value this relationship which has not been destroyed once.

1st group: very light physical activity


This group consists mostly of office workers; managers, engineers, teachers, secretaries, scientists, authors etc. People in this group spend most of their day at their desks and get very little physical activity.


2nd group: light physical activity

This group would include a large part of service workers; salesmen/women, shop assistants, car drivers, agronomists, veterinaries, nurses, hospital attendants etc. People in this group spend a great part of the day on their feet but are not engaged in physical job.


3rd group: moderate physical activity

Members of this group include: machine operators, metalworkers, textile workers, bus drivers and truck drivers, foodservice workers, public works, transportation workers etc. This group spends some part of the day in moderate to heavy physical activities.


4th group: high physical activity

This group include: builders, agricultural workers, metallurgists, foundry workers, oil and gas industry workers, woodworkers etc. Members of this group spend most of the day engaged in heavy physical activities.

 Every group is divided by age categories. You can estimate your body’s energy requirements, but you should remember, it’s only an approximate value.

You may know that diabetes affects your kidneys and eyesight. Did you know the disease can affect your feet, too? April is National Foot Health Awareness Month, and is an excellent time to take control of every aspect of managing your diabetes — especially foot health.
Regular foot exams can prevent such complications as infection, foot ulcers, gangrene, and in some cases, amputation. More than 60 percent of non-accidental lower-limb amputations occur among people with diabetes.

A study in the January 2004 issue of “Diabetes Care” illustrates how patients with diabetes tend to ignore their foot health. More than 3,500 patients with type 2 diabetes were interviewed about their knowledge of foot health and diabetes. Although 72 percent of the patients had received some form of foot health education, only 49 percent reported foot exams in the last year. Thirty-three percent of patients said they never checked their feet for complications.

“As warm weather approaches, spring is a great time to start thinking about steps you can take to preserve your foot health,” said Patty Latham, M.S., R.D., a registered dietician at Roche Diagnostics. “Patients with diabetes should always keep their feet clean and dry, and avoid wearing footwear that could cause foot injuries. Basic foot maintenance, such as trimming toenails and removing corns and calluses, will help ensure the health of your feet. And, of course, make sure you see a podiatrist or your doctor regularly.”

There are warning signs that could lead to possible foot complications. If you notice any of the following, you should contact your physician immediately:

* Changes in the color of the skin on your feet

* An elevation in skin temperature

* Pain in your leg(s)

* Swelling in the foot and/or ankle,

* Slow-healing open sores on your feet

* Dry cracks in the skin, especially around the heel

* Ingrown toenails; fungus

* Bleeding corns and calluses

Walking and health

Walking is good exercise for anyone, especially for the 70 million Americans with arthritis. It’s an endurance exercise, which means it strengthens the heart, helps lungs work more efficiently and adds more stamina so individuals do not tire as easily. As a weight-bearing exercise (one that puts full weight on the bones), walking helps strengthen bones, reducing the risk of osteoporosis. Walking also helps control weight, strengthen muscles and helps maintain joint flexibility.
“For the one in three adults and nearly 300,000 children living with arthritis, maintaining an active lifestyle is important because joints become stiff and muscles weaken with inactivity,” says Dr. John H. Klippel, president and CEO of the Arthritis Foundation. “As walking strengthens the muscles and tissues surrounding the joints, it helps to better protect those joints and keep them ready for daily activities.”

In addition to all the physical benefits, walking brings with it a host of psychological perks. Regular exercise helps people sleep better and combat the depression, stress and fatigue that sometimes accompany arthritis.

Walking is often overlooked as a way to keep fit and flexible because it’s so simple — most have done it since infancy. The simplicity is part of what makes walking an ideal exercise for many people. People can walk anywhere, anytime and at any level they prefer.

Keep the Arthritis Foundation’s top 10 walking tips in mind as you prepare to step out into the ranks of walkers everywhere:

1. Remember to check with your doctor before beginning a walking program.

2. Wear comfortable, well-fitting, and supportive shoes with flexible and non-sticky soles that absorb shock well.

3. Wear loose, comfortable clothes that “breathe” with you. Dress in layers so you can adjust to the changing temperature as you walk.

4. Walk at your own pace. Everyone has a walking speed that suits them best, so find one that is comfortable for you.

5. Be sure family members know your walking route and approximately how long you’ll be gone.

6. Don’t go too far too fast. Remember that you still get health benefits whether you take three 10-minute walks or one 30-minute walk.

7. Choose flat, firm, level surfaces — steep grades, uneven ground or stairs could lead to hip, knee or foot pain.

8. Keep it fun! Try listening to music as you walk to add a bounce to your step.

9. Find a partner. Having a regular partner can be a social outlet, a boredom reliever and a commitment reinforcer.

10. Stay motivated by keeping your walks interesting. Change your location, style or speed.

Applying for scholarships can be intimidating. There are hundreds of them out there and figuring out which ones you qualify for, then correctly completing the requirements for each one, can be quite confusing. Sometimes, students even wonder if they should submit an application. But the answer is a resounding, “Yes!” To help ease some of the anxiety and confusion, applicants often find themselves in need of tips and suggestions.

First and foremost, do your homework. Finding scholarships takes time and research. Good places to start are in your guidance counselor’s office, the local library and online. Sara Glickman of Silver Spring, Md. is a recent scholarship recipient who successfully applied for a national scholarship. Glickman was surfing the Internet and looking at college scholarship information when she came across the Target All-Around Scholarship.

Glickman knew her strong volunteering background with organizations like the American Cancer Society, Race for the Cure, her college’s community service fraternity, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars gave her a shot at the scholarship.

While Glickman’s scholarship application materials mentions her work with various local volunteer organizations, her essay focused on one specific project — “Living Journals” — a program Glickman started when her grandmother was in a local hospice to record her memories, stories and conversations. Other patients soon were asking Glickman to help make recordings of their family’s memories, and she even expanded her services to nearby nursing home facilities. The Living Journals project continues to be a special project for Glickman, one she continues to be involved in which is near and dear to her heart.

Glickman’s focused essay impressed the scholarship committee, and she was selected as one of the Target All-Around Scholarship winners.

“We believe it’s important to recognize aspiring leaders for their volunteerism and academic achievements,” says Laysha Ward, vice president, community relations, Target Corporation. “In line with our company’s commitment to community service, the Target All-Around Scholarship program awards young people who have given back and have made a visible difference in their communities.”

Following are some tips for writing a winning scholarship application essay:

Narrow The Topic. Before tackling an essay question, create a list of possible topics, ranking the ideas in order of interest, and selecting the one that is most important to you. Narrowing the topic down to one activity or experience ensures that your essay will be clear and concise.

Be Passionate. Most of us have a hard time writing good things about ourselves. But when writing your scholarship essay, it’s important to talk about yourself and the things that are important to you. Chances are, if you’ve invested a lot of time and energy into a particular activity, then you’re passionate about it. Make sure your essays reflect this and explain how your participation has affected you.

Edit. Revise. Re-write. You should never submit a first-draft as a final product. Make sure you review your essay, revise it, and have someone close to you read over your work.

Identify References Early. Many scholarship applications require an endorsement from someone familiar with you and your accomplishments. Select a person who knows you well and will be an advocate about your commitment. Make sure you give this person plenty of time to complete their letter, and be sure to send them a hand-written thank you note afterwards.

Be Timely. Every application has a deadline. No matter how great your application is, if you don’t honor the deadline your application won’t be considered. Make sure to allow enough time to request and receive your transcripts, letters of recommendation, and any other supporting documents.

Like Glickman, if you are a college-bound senior or an active undergrad, age 24 or younger who spends a lot of time volunteering in your community, you are eligible to apply for Target’s All-Around Scholarship. The company awards one $25,000 scholarship and more than six-hundred $1,000 scholarships to applicants nationwide.
